Lifestyle Medicine

Lifestyle Medicine is a practice which facilitates an individualised and holistic approach to improving health and wellbeing, whether physical or mental, so that certain chronic conditions can be prevented, managed or reversed. Supporting individuals to sustain lifestyle change is key in a time of rising chronic diseases.
Lifestyle Medicine is a way to combat this, empowering clients to address the strengths and weaknesses within the six key pillars of their life: mental wellbeing, healthy relationships, physical activity, sleep, minimising harmful substances.
Though separate categories, each are intrinsically linked, such as quality of sleep impacting mental wellbeing and physical activity outdoors influencing a reduction in the consumption of harmful substances, and so on. By implementing a lifestyle change in one area the benefits are felt across the health spectrum.
This way of working utilising certain lifestyle interventions can support living with and at times recovery from a wide range of health conditions from hypertension and coronary artery disease to type 2 diabetes and certain cancers.
Lifestyle Medicine can be practised by doctors and healthcare professionals. More information can be found at:
